I am interested in translating learning rules from biological synapses into computational models, taking a quantitative approach to investigate attention and learning in reward-based systems. Specifically, I will study the influence of variations in the ADRA2b gene, which codes for a specific subtype (a2b) of norepinephrine receptors, on emotionally biased attention and memory, and provide a comprehensive and predictive computational model.
